A misty morn on the south downs
In and fed, off to cp8
Left cp6 and done the horrible the bostal hill. Rather dark, but weather is dry at last
As night starts to fall, the guys are at check point 5, filling up the water bottle’s and tagging in. The support car has abandoned the existing check point due to almost every vehicle needs to be towed.
Pitch black now, head torches on, back in business
Half way there and we are doing pretty good. The check points are just mud baths which is making life hard for support crew but Chris has found a space and we are off to meet him now. Checkpoint 6 is closed to support crews so long break here to refresh and stock up. We’re 1hr 40 ahead of schedule when we arrives but losing some time due to the muddy conditions.
Just arrived at cp4, pit stop for drinks and mini pork pies. Lots of mud, lots of rain, but still 1 hour 10 mins ahead of schedule at the moment. The hard work starts now though.
